BISMARCK, ND - In the final event before the NSIC Championships in two weeks, the University of Mary Swimming team (5-1) hosted Northern State University (8-7, 6-6 NSIC) for a sprint pentathlon.
Jordn Wolsky had a great day to add to her impressive freshman campaign by taking the runner-up spot with a combined time 2:59.55. Two more Marauders
Korie Riely and
Michaela Desmond finished third and fourth-place respectively to highlight a solid return home to the BSC Aquatic & Wellness Center.
"I am happy with how the team performed today," said Head Coach

NSU freshman Lilly Grebner took the pentathlon title with a total time of 2:51.65, taking first place in each of the five events. Starting with the 50 yard butterfly,
Victoria Murillo claimed second racing with the highest time for the Marauders in 27.08 seconds.

"Before the meet, I challenged the team to place 6 swimmers in the top-10 overall results," said Coach Evans. "We achieved this goal with Jordn, Korie, Michaela, Breena, Teresa, and Rylie finishing in the top-10. Unfortunately, we had a disqualification in the 50 breaststroke with Victoria otherwise we would have had seven swimmers in the top-10. I was glad to see Breena and Rylie go out with a top-10 performance in their final home meet as Marauders."
