BISMARCK, ND – A strong performance by
Gavin Argent on the opening day of the Marauder Invitational has the University of Mary men's golf team just two strokes off the team lead.
Argent finished the opening round one under par with a 71 on the challenging Hawktree Golf Club. He is sitting second in the individual rankings just a stroke behind Devon Verhasselt of the University of Sious Falls.

Cody Brunner at 73.
Alex Wilson gives the Marauders a trio of golfers in the top seven.
UMary's team score of 299 is just two stroked behind Sioux Falls in the 6-team meet. UMary is 11 over as a team while USF is +9 at 297.
The two-day meet wraps up Tuesday, September 20, when the competition moves to the Riverwood Golf Course in Bismarck, ND. Start time is 9 am.
