BISMARCK, ND - The University of Mary wrestling team (2-2, 1-2) will travel to Aberdeen, SD, to take on undefeated Northern State University on Thursday, February 11, at 7 pm. The Marauders will look to bounce back after last week's 26-10 defeat #10 Minnesota State University – Mankato.

LAST TIME THE TEAMS MET
UMary defeated NSU last season 20-16. Jeremy Leintz (125), Devin Steidler (149), Braydon Huber (157), Phillip Springsteen (174), Gerardo Jaime (197) and Dom Tudor (285) all earned victories to give the Marauders the win.
RANKINGS
UMary has three ranked wrestlers in the latest NCAA Division II poll by The Open Mat: Braydon Huber is 10th at 165, Max Bruss is 10th at 174 and Dom Tudor is 15th at 285.
In the second regular-season National Wrestling Coaches Association team rankings of 2021 released February 5, the Marauders received 12 votes to set UMary just outside the top 25. In the NWCA preseason poll, the Marauders finished just outside the top 25 with ten votes, tied for the most out of any team not ranked.
Individually, three Marauders crack the first NWCA individual rankings of the season. Huber is 9th at 165. Bruss checks in at 9th at 174. Dom Tudor is 9th at 285.
UMary has five wrestlers in the Super Region V rankings. Laken Boese is 5th at 133. Anthony Velazquez is 4th at 157. Huber is ranked second at 165. Bruss is 3rd at 174. Tudor ranks third for 285.
NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIERS
UMary returns two wrestlers who qualified for the 2019-20 NCAA Championships, Phillip Springsteen and Braydon Huber. Huber is ranked 5th for the 157 IBS weight class in the National Wrestling Coaches Association preseason rankings. Springsteen finished second in the NCAA Division II Super Regional V as he earned the eighth seed at the 2020 NCAA Championships.
Huber is coming off a great performance over Minnesota State's Brody Nielson, winning by a 4-1 decision.
CONFERENCE RANKINGS
The Marauders are 1-2 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and sit in sixth place in the NSIC standings. The Wolves, led by head coach Jim Makovsky, have gone 4-0 in the conference and are currently tied for first in the NSIC.
