Biography

2020
Jeremy competed at 125 lbs earning a 13-10 record. He was crowned champion at the Cobber Open and earned 5th place at the Jimmie Open. Jeremy tallied one major decision, one technical fall, and four pins on the year. A highlight from the season would be when he pinned a 2020 National Qualifier in front of his home crowd against Minnesota State University-Mankato.

2019
Jeremy earned a 13-6 record at 125 pounds featuring three pins, three techfalls, and two major decisions as a redshirt freshman. He also placed 5th at the Jimmie Open, 3rd at the Dragon Open, and 3rd at the North Country Open. Jeremy earned his first varsity dual win in front of the MAC Mob by bumping up to 133 pounds, helping propel the Marauders to our first Division II dual win over Augustana.

2018
As a redshirt, Jeremy placed 2nd at the Dickinson Open, 5th at the Cobber Open and, 6th at the Jimmie Open and the Dragon Open... Jeremy earned a 7-12 record with four bonus point wins.
 
PRIOR TO UMARY
Son of Shanda and Corey Leintz, Jeremy was a 2017 North Dakota state champion at 113 pounds as a senior for Hazen high School in North Dakota. He posted a career record of 200-45, and earned all-state wrestling honors all four years of high school, became a three-time team captain. Jeremy was a four-sport athlete in high school competing in wrestling, football, baseball and track. He shared in team success winning a state football title as a freshman in 2013. Jeremy was all-conference and a team captain for football as a senior. Jeremy is a member of the National Honor Society, FBLA and student council. Jeremy will study Construction Management at the University of Mary.
