SMITHVILLE, MO – A strong second day highlighted University of Mary men's golf's first outing of the spring. The Marauders placed 12
th at the NSIC Conference Preview at the Paradise Pointe Golf Complex in Smithville, MO.
UMary had a 12 stroke improvement from round one to round two. In total, the Marauders had eight birdies and an eagle on Tuesday compared to five birdies on the first day.
Leading the way overall was
Lucas Schoepp in 23
rd place with a 149 (+5).
Quinn Breidenbach moved 14 spots in the standings on day two, propelled by four birdies to finish in 31st. He scored a 151 (+7) across the two days.
Payton Hiller placed 68
th, hitting an eagle on hole 8 on Tuesday to finish with a 157 (+13).
David Thomson rounded out the standings, placing 73
rd with a 158 (+14).
Leading the B team was
Ryker Landers with an even par second day, moving up 26 spots to finish in 31
st with a 151 (+7).

UMary will take part in two meets in the span of five days next week. They will participate in the Upper Iowa Tournament on Apr. 3 and 4, then head to South Dakota for the Augustana University Invitational on Apr. 6 and 7.
