VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – Through the first four events of the Heptathlon at the NCAA Championships, University of Mary men's track and field sophomore
Kenny Moxey Jr. is just three points behind the current leader.
The day began with the 60m Dash, with Moxey Jr. placing 7
th with a 7.13. That time is 0.02 seconds off his personal best.
He then placed 4
th in the Long Jump, clearing his personal best by 0.05m and landing with a 6.85m mark.
The NSIC Champion's 13.40m throw in the Shot Put was 6
th, but moved him up three spots in the overall standings to 3
rd.
The highlight of his day came in the High Jump, where Moxey Jr. topped the field with a PR of 2.00m. The next highest mark was 1.94m. As a result, the Bahaman ascended to 2
nd place following the first day of events, trailing the leader by three points.

Moxey Jr will go for an All-American finish tomorrow beginning with the 60m Hurdles at 10:00 a.m., the Pole Vault at 10:45 a.m., and the 1000m at 2:00pm.
