BISMARCK, ND – Through four home meets this season, University of Mary women's track and field has topped the leaderboard each time. Today's win at the UMary Winter Classic came against eight opposing schools, the most this season.
Anna Bruno continued her strong season with an NCAA qualifying mark in the Long Jump of 5.78m, winning the event. The junior is currently 16
th in the nation in the event.
Tayen Werner nearly broke a school record in the 600m with a time of 1:32.51, setting a PR.
Kelescia Downes (1:35.61),
Aspen Eslinger (1:38.49),
Sydney Elsner (1:41.79), and
Maria Ringhand (1:42.52) all set PRs in the event as well.
Redshirt Freshman
Tori Stepka made her UMary track and field debut in the Mile, placing 2
nd at 5:21.11.
A trio of freshman pole vaulters,
Rylee Scoular,
Sydney Kiefer, and
Emma Bixby all set PRs at the meet.

After starting the season with four consecutive home meets, the Marauders will hit the road for the next three weekends. First will be the UND Open in Grand Forks, ND, on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 30 and 31.
