UNION LAKE, MI – Michael Heitkamp made program history for the University of Mary as the Marauders team captain was selected to the 2024-25 American Collegiate Hockey Association Men's Division I All-Athletic squad as a third-team defenseman.
 
Heitkamp is the first UMary player to earn ACHA MD1 All-Athletic recognition and the 7^th All-Athletic selection overall. The Marauders elevated their program to ACHA MD1 in the 2023-24 season after playing five seasons at ACHA MD2.
 
The two-way defensemen was a threat on both ends of the rink for UMary. In his second season with the Marauders and fourth overall in ACHA MD1, Heitkamp scored 15 goals and delivered 15 assists for 30 points. He led UMary blueliners in goals and points and was second on the team in goals overall.
 
Previously this season the Grand Rapids, MN, native received first team Midwest College Hockey honors for the first time at UMary and third time in his career after being recognized at Waldorf in 2021-22 and 2022-23.
