SIOUX FALLS, SD – The University of Mary swimming and diving team set two school records, and two Marauders recorded NCAA "B" cut times on day one of the Augie Invite. UMary sits in third place with 368 team points
The competition started with the team of
Olivia Gibbons,
Peyton Wunderlich,
Emma Sheppard, and
Maria Strong setting a school record in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, placing second with a time of 1:34.02.
Olivia Gibbons and
Maria Strong both posted NCAA "B" cut times in the 50 free. Gibbons (23.66) placed runner-up, and Strong (23.75) took third. Wunderlich (23.95) would finish fifth, and Sheppard (24.66) grabbed eighth.
Samantha Sheridan took seventh in the 500 Yard Freestyle, posting a time of 5:15.79.
UMary set another school record in the 400 Yard Medley Relay as the team of Strong, Gibbons, Sheppard, and Wunderlich placed fifth with a time of 3:54.02.
The Marauders return for day two of the Augie Invite on Friday, December 5, in Sioux Falls, SD.
