BISMARCK, ND – The University of Mary swimming and diving team (4-0) continues their impressive run with a dominant 154-57 win in their final home meet of the year over the University of Jamestown. UMary won all 12 swimming events.

Maria Strong each won two individual events.
Before the meet, the Marauders honored their seniors

Samantha Sheridan,
Jordn Wolsky, and
Teresa Cavanaugh for their contributions in and out of the pool.
The meet opened with the 400 Yard Medley Relay, where the team of
Grace Urke,
Natalie Dehring,
Peyton Wunderlich, and
Maria Strong would win with a time of 4:07.07.
Samantha Sheridan took gold in the 1000 Yard Freestyle, posting a time of 11:09.72.
Gabrielle Evanson (11:31.47) finished runner-up.
Elise Altringer (2:01.29) and
Katherine Ryan (2:03.71) took the top two spots in the 200 Yard Freestyle.
UMary would claim the top six spots in the 100 Yard Backstroke as
Maria Strong led the way with a time of 1:00.48.
Teresa Cavanaugh (1:02.95) placed runner-up.
Natalie Dehring was victorious in the 100 Yard Breaststroke, finishing with a time of 1:10.16.
Peyton Wunderlich (53.82) and Elise Altriger (56.53) grabbed first and second place in the 100 Yard Freestyle.
Samantha Sheridan (5:29.91),
Gabrielle Evanson (5:37.18), and
Amber Norgaard (5:51.26) claimed the top three spots in the 500 Yard Freestyle.
Peyton Wunderlich earned her second win of the day in the 100 Yard Butterfly, posting a time of 59.73.
Maria Strong finished a whole second faster than the competition in the 50 Yard Freestyle after recording a time of 24.65.
Natalie Dehring showcased her skills by winning the 400 Yard IM with a time of 5:04.70.
The event ended in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay, where the team of
Jordn Wolsky,
Peyton Wunderlich,
Elise Altringer, and
Maria Strong took gold with a time of 3:41.54.
The Marauders next event is the Dragon Invite in Moorhead, MN, beginning on Friday, January 16, and concluding on Saturday, January 17.
