BISMARCK, ND – Three University of Mary scholar-athletes earned 2025 Academic All-District® Women's Volleyball Team recognition, as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC). Receiving Academic All-District honors for the Marauders are
Maddy Freed,
Dani Highum and
Gabby Caskey.
The CSC Academic All-District® teams recognize the nation's top scholar-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom and are selected by the College Sports Communicators (formerly College Sports Information Directors of America / CoSIDA). To be nominated, a scholar-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at her current institution.
Maddy Freed is a senior setter from Lawrence, KS, and is majoring in Biology. She led the Marauders in assists with 497.
Dani Highum is a sophomore outside hitter from Lennox, SD. The Biology major averaged 3.3 points/set and led the team with 29 aces.
Gabby Caskey, a senior middle hitter majoring in Biology, is a native of Ogallala, NE. She led the Marauders with 63 blocks and hit .232, the second-best percentage on the team.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
