Murillo qualifies for the 2024 NCAA DII Swimming National Championships

4BISMARCK, ND – After an outstanding season, Victoria Murillo caps off her decorated University of Mary swimming career, competing in four events at the 2023 NCAA DII Women's Swimming and Diving National Championships.

Murillo qualified in the 200 free and the 500 free for nationals. Murillo ranks 21st in the 200 (1:49.70) and 19th in the 500 (4:56.10). The All-American will also compete in the 1000 and 1650. She ranks 35th in the 1000 (10:18.80) and 31st in the 1650 (17:19.69). Murillo won the 500 and 1650 at the 2024 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Championships.

This is the fifth time in Murillo's career that she has qualified for the NCAA Championships. Last season, the Cancun, Mexico native became the first UMary student-athlete to earn first-team All-American status after she finished eighth in the 500.

The Marauders have had three swimmers earn All-American status Murillo, Andrea Lee and Abbey Zajdzinski. Lee holds All-American honors in three events and Zajdzinski in two events.

The 2024 NCAA DII Swimming and Diving National Championships will be held March 12-16 in Geneva, Ohio at the SPIRE Institute Aquatics Center.
