SIOUX FALLS SD - Victoria Murillo earned the 15th Northern Sun All-Conference honor of her University of Mary Swimming & Diving team career, finishing runner-up in the 200 free at the 2024 NSIC Swimming Championships.
Murillo posted an NCAA Division II B cut time of 1:49.79 to finish second in the 200 free and earn All-Conference status.
Michaela Desmond (1:58.80), Allie Elliot (1:59.70) and
Camille Merimee (1:59.80) took 17
th, 18
th, and 19
th respectively.
Maddy Desmond put on an impressive performance in the 100 fly as the freshman took sixth place with a time of 57.34.
Maria Strong took 20
th after posting a time of 58.99.
Kahlan Hamlin earned the Marauders a team point after she finished 16
th in the 3 Meter Dive, posting a score of 265.95.
The team of Maddy Desmond,
Jordn Wolsky, Murillo and Merimee placed seventh in the 400 Medley Relay with a time of 3:58.03. The team of
Teresa Cavanaugh, Miki Brackin, Elliot and Strong finished 13
th, posting a time of 4:01.41.
UMary jumps to sixth place after day two with 152 team points. The Marauders return for day three of the NSIC Championships on Friday, February 16, with prelims beginning at 10 am and finals starting at 5:30 pm.
