SACRAMENTO, CA – Earning its best finish since 2021, the University of Mary women's cross country team finished 18
th at the NCAA National Championship. The 6k race took place at Arcade Creek Cross Country Course in Sacramento, CA.
Senior
Alyssa Becker ended her collegiate cross country career on a high note with a 6
th-place finish. The top-40 finish in the field of 259 earned her All-American status for the second time in her career and first since her freshman year.
Becker's time of 20:37.0 was less than 9 seconds away from Grand Valley State junior Lauren Kiley's leaderboard-topping time of 20:28.5.
Kristine Kalthoff's final race ended with her in 52
nd with a time of 21:38.4. Senior
Andrijana Fundak was 99
th with her time of 22:10.1. Junior
Terez Wycklendt was in 161
st place with a time of 22:44.9. Rounding out the team scoring was senior
Elizabeth Acheson in 190
th with her time of 23:11.7.
Becker's 6
th-place finish at nationals is the best by a Marauder since Ida Narbuvoll's 4
th-place finish in 2019.
