BROOKINGS, SD – In a meet against four Division I schools, #18 University of Mary women's cross country placed third. The SDSU Classic featured 71 runners and only 14 were Division II runners. In spite of those odds, UMary senior Alyssa Becker placed third overall with a time of 21:07.44.

The Marauders captured two spots in the top 10, with Kristine Kalthoff (21:30.83) coming in 7^th overall. Andrijana Fundak (22:06.95) and Elizabeth Acheson (22:22.80) placed in the top 20, finishing in 16^th and 20^th, respectively. Rounding out the team scoring was Terez Wycklendt (23:15.72) in 34^th overall.

Tomorrow's Minot State Conference Preview was canceled due to expected severe weather. That means next Friday's Marauders Open at McDowell Dam in Bismarck, ND, is the final meet of the regular season. The NSIC Championships will be hosted by Minot State University on Oct. 26.
