BISMARCK, ND – The 17
th-ranked University of Mary women's cross country team closed out the regular season on top with a win at the Marauders Open. Standout senior
Alyssa Becker earned her second individual victory of the season in the process with a time of 20:05.5.
Despite missing two of their typical top-5, the Marauders had all five scoring athletes place in the top 10. UMary came away with a low score of 19 in the competition.
Behind Becker to complete the sweep of the podium were seniors
Kristine Kalthoff (21:11.5) and
Andrijana Fundak (21:17.6).
Grace Acheson placed 6
th with a time of 22:24.5. Rounding out the scoring was
Hannah Westin in 8
th at 22:35.8.
Becker's season has been stellar with two overall victories, a 2
nd-place finish and a 3
rd-place finish. The meets that Becker did not win both featured Division I athletes. The senior has been named NSIC Athlete of the Week twice this season.

In two weeks, on Oct. 26, UMary will travel north to Minot, ND for the NSIC Championships at Souris Valley Golf Course. The Marauders finished 3
rd in the conference last year, but are in good position to improve upon that this season.
