Bismarck, ND - The 19
th ranked University of Mary Women's Cross Country Team left a mark on the collegiate cross-country circuit with their exceptional performance at the Marauders Invitational.

In a 3-team boutique race that included 32 runners from eight colleges, UMary topped the team standings with 26 points. Despite resting their top performers, the Marauders squad posted a total time of 1:59:54 on the 6K course, an impressive average time of 23:58 per racer.

Leading the charge in individual results were the Acheson twin sisters, Elizabeth and Grace.
Elizabeth Acheson, an NCAA All-American in the 800 running cross country for the first time since high school, seized the top spot with a remarkable average mile time of 06:03.8 to complete the 6K race in 22:36.3.

Not far behind,
Grace Acheson, also a graduate student running cross country the first time since high school, secured the second position with an impressive time of 23:51.3.

Also scoring for the Marauders was
Marisa Shiland (6
th in 24:19.2),
Holly Fromherz (9
th in 24:27.7) and
Savanna Olson (11
th in 24:40.1).

As the Marauders revel in their recent success, they look forward to their next challenge. On October 6 UMary competes at Montana State University Billings in Billings, MT, and at the University of Jamestown (ND) Jimmie Open. Both events mark another opportunity for this talented team to shine and continue their journey towards further achievements in the world of collegiate cross country running.
