MINOT, ND – Another impressive pitching performance by
Jonathan Draheim led the University of Mary to a split on the road at Minot State University. Draheim tossed his fourth complete game of the season in a 3-2 win in the opener of the Northern Sun doubleheader. The Beavers rebounded to take the nightcap 12-2.

Earning his sixth win of the season in six starts,
Jonathan Draheim led the Marauders to another clutch victory. The sophomore righthander limited Minot State to just six hits and two runs in a back and forth ballgame. The Marauders struck first on a
Riley Schlimm home run in the second inning. After the Beaers tied the game,
Braxton Inniss homered in the fifth inning. Once again, the Beavers rallied to pull even in the fifth, setting up a big seventh inning.
PIVOT POINT
Tied 2-2 entering the last inning,
Tyrus Barclay led off the seventh with a double. One out later,
Calvin James rocketed another double to score Barclay with the go-ahead run. UMary led the rest to Draheim. After striking out the leadoff hitter and inducing a popup, Draheim gave up a single before closing out the win with a groundout to short.

Jonathan Draheim is 6-0 on the season with four complete games. The two games he has completed he pitched six of the seven innings. Draheim limited MSU to two runs on six hits, striking out three without walking a hitter.

The Marauders held a 2-1 lead entering the bottom of the fifth inning after
Ty Jones singled home
Derek Shoen and
Riley Schlimm doubled to score Jones. UMary (13-13 overall / 10-9 NSIC) was unable to build on their lead despite knocking out nine hits in seven innings.
PIVOT POINT
Using three hits and a hit batter, the Beavers (15-11, 13-8) regained their lead at 3-2 with two outs in the fifth. A defensive misplay in the outfield scored a pair of unearned runs for a 5-2 Minot State lead. The Beavers then tacked on six runs in the sixth to earn a split of the doubleheader.

- Tyrus Barclay was 2-for-4 with a double and totaled four hits and 2 2B on the day
