The University of Mary Marauders

2022 (Sophomore)
Calvin James started all 51 games and accumulated 61 hits, 6 home runs, and 42 RBI’s. Calvin hit .314 which was second for the Marauders offense. Calvin batting average was 37^th in the NSIC. In the in-field, Calvin earned 29 putouts and a fielding percentage of .933. He also passed the school record for doubles in a single season (18) against Bemidji State this season. Calvin also moved up to 7th on the Marauders all-time home runs list. Named to the NSIC Academic Team of Excellence. 

2021 (Freshman)
Calvin earned freshman of the year and was selected to the first team NSIC team. Calvin lead the team in games played, at-bats, runs, hits, doubles, RBI’s, walks, on-base percentage and batting average. In 151 at-bats Calvin managed 21 walks with only 13 strikeouts. Calvin was at the top of the conference in many offensive categories while playing a stellar third base.  Calvin plays for the Bismarck Larks in the summer.
 
2020 (Freshman)
Calvin James started all 12 games and lead the team with 3 home runs, 8 RBIs and 15 hits before the season was cut short due to Covid-19. James hit .319 in the middle of the Marauder offense.

High School
Calvin James comes to the University of Mary from Buffalo high school in Buffalo, MN where he graduated at the top of his class. James has been playing baseball since he was six years old.
 
Personal
James plans to major in civil engineering at UMary.
