DULUTH, MN – A season-high offensive outburst combined with a impressive team pitching performance carried the University of Mary to a dominating 14-1 win in the second game of a doubleheader at the University of Minnesota Duluth. The Bulldogs won the opener 5-1.

After struggling to take advantage of early scoring opportunities, the University of Mary was unable to keep pace with the University of Minnesota Duluth in the opening game of a non-conference doubleheader. The Marauders left a pair of runners on base in both the third and fourth innings. UMary then had just one baserunner total in the last three innings.

Ty Jones to even the game 1-1 after the top of the third inning, the Bulldogs regained their lead with a single run in the bottom of the inning on a double steal. UMD then plated three runs in the fourth to take control of the 7-inning ballgame.
