MANKATO, MN – Braydon Huber, Dom Tudor and Matt Kaylor all scored points for the University of Mary wrestling team as the Marauders were defeated 26-10 by 11th ranked Minnesota State University – Mankato.
#10 Huber (157) got UMary on the board first in the sixth match of the day as he defeated Brody Nielsen by a 4-1 decision.
Kaylor shined at 197 in a victory over Matt Blome by a 12-3 major decision, earning the Marauders four points.
#15 Tudor (285) finished things off for UMary in overtime as he edged Max Villnow by a 3-1 sudden victory. Tudor is undefeated at 2-0 this season.
Jeremy Leintz (125) kicked things off against #9 Trenton McManus. McManus defeated Leintz by a 11-1 major decision.
Laken Boese (133) lost to Brock Luthens via a 5-2 decision.
Drew Steidler (141) was pinned by Kolbe O'Brien at the 4:59 mark.
Chandler Mooney (149) took on #2 Kyle Rathman as Rathman won by a major decision 9-1.
Sam Bruss (157) made his first start for the Marauders this season against Cooper Siebrecht. Bruss lost by a 6-2.
Max Bruss (174) suffered his first loss of the season to #3 Trevor Trurriff (Minnesota State) by a 7-5 decision. This is the first time Bruss has surrendered a point all year.
Grant Litke (184) lost a close contest to Dylan Butts as Butts took home the 4-0 decision.
The Marauders travel to Aberdeen, SD, in their next contest to take on Northern University on February 11 at 7 pm.
