LONG BEACH, CA –
Tonie-Ann Pandohie blazed her way to another school record and the University of Mary women's track & field team closed out a highly successful trip to California with three more NCAA provisional qualifying marks at the Beach Invitational.
After breaking the school record at home during the Al Bortke Open last Saturday, Pandohie improved her own mark in the 100 meter hurdles. The junior All-American powered over the barriers in just 13.48 seconds to place seventh overall at the Beach Invite. Not only is her time a provisional qualifying mark for the NCAA championships, it is also the second-best time in the nation.
Maria Bolibruch also posted a provisional qualifying mark in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.20 seconds.
The Marauders concluded the day with another impressive performance in the 4x100 meter hurdles. The quartet of Pandohie,
Tanesha Davis, Bolibruch and
Julia Hammerschmidt finished fifth in the Gold Elite division with a clocking of 46.70 seconds.
UMary next competes at the Lyle Hokanson Classic in Fargo, ND, on April 22.
