Pandohie posts trio of top three finishes to wrap up NSIC Indoor track & field championships

MANKATO, Minn. – Tonie-Ann Pandohie posted a team-high 20 points in three different events but her efforts weren't enough for the University of Mary to retain its conference crown. The defending champion, 15th ranked U-Mary placed fifth at the 2016 Northern Sun women's indoor track & field championships.
 
The Marauders combined for 92 points. Minnesota State claimed the 2016 NSIC title. 
 
An All-American from Kingston, Jamaica, Pandohie produced three NCAA provisional qualifying marks on the day. Pandohie claimed second in the 60 meter dash in an provisional qualifying time of 7.70 seconds. She took third in the 200 meter dash in a provisional time of 25.02. Pandohie also claimed third in the 60 meter hurdles, clearing the barriers in a provisional time of 8.68 seconds.
 
In her first collegiate conference championship, freshman Chante Spotser (Federal Way, Washington) claimed second in the 400 meter dash with a time of 57.83 seconds to earn all-NSIC honors.
 
The Marauders 4x400 meter relay posted the second-best time of the day. The quartet of senior Josie Guptill and freshmen Maria Bolibruch, Julia Hammerschmidt and Chante Spotser combined to run a 3:54.41.
 
All-American Davina Carr (Nine Mile Falls, Washington) grabbed third in the pole vault with a provisional mark of 3.91 meters.
 
The winner of the 3,000 meter run on Friday, four-time All-American Alexis Zeis (Bismarck, North Dakota) claimed fifth in the mile run in a provisional time of 4:58.14.
 
Josie Guptill placed fourth in the 600 meter run. The senior from Quinn, South Dakota, was clocked in 1:35.78.
 
Freshman Jaiden Schutte (Bismarck, North Dakota) ran a time of 2:19.65 to pull down seventh in the 800 meter run.
 
Maria Bolibruch, a freshman from Kingstown, Rhode Island, was seventh in the 60 meter hurdles in a provisional time of 8.80 seconds.
 
Senior All-American Faith Kjelstrup placed in two events. The Glendive, Montana, native was fifth in the triple jump with a provisional mark of 11.64 meters. She was eighth in the 60 meter dash, running a 7.89. 
 
Jackie Harmon, a freshman from Fargo, N.D., placed eighth in the 1,000 meter run in a time of 3:06.88.
