DICKINSON, N.D. –
Faith Kjelstrup captured three titles at the Blue Hawk Games in Dickinson, N.D. on Saturday to lead the University of Mary women's outdoor track & field team's effort. Overall the Marauders won nine of the 18 events.
A junior from Glendive, Montana, Kjelstrup's best performance of the day was her win in the triple jump. She posted the Marauders lone NCAA provisional qualifying mark of the day when she sailed 11.86 meters. Kjelstrup also won the long jump (5.55 meters) and the 100 meter dash (12.66 seconds).
For the second straight meet,
Molly McDonald won two events. The junior from Lakewood, Colorado, cleared the 100 meter hurdles in 14.38 seconds. She then topped 1.60 meters in the high jump.
In the 400 meter dash,
Kameya Johnson won going away with a mark of 58.25 seconds.
Chelsea Bennis won the 1,500 meter run with a time of 4:58.47, just ahead of teammate Emma Hafdahl.
Julie Dinius breezed through the 400 meter hurdles in 1:06.14 for the win.
In the pole vault,
Kaycee Luke cleared 3.35 meters to top all competitors.
The Marauders will next compete at the Al Cassell Relays in Jamestown, North Dakota, on April 25.
