THIS WEEK
Thanksgiving week not only kicks off the University of Mary men's basketball's home schedule but the start of the 2015-16 Northern Sun season also. The first home game features the Marauders hosting MSU Billings on Monday, Nov. 23. On Tuesday, Nov. 24, the Marauders take on visiting Oglala Lakota College. Game time both nights is 7 p.m. at the McDowell Activity Center. A visit to instate rival Minot State University on Saturday, Nov. 28, tips off NSIC play. Start time is 6 p.m. at the Minot State Dome.

LAST TIME OUT
After defeating Henderson State University 79-70 and Southern Arkansas University 77-76 in the NSIC/GAC Crossover, the Marauders beat South Dakota School of Mines & Technology 96-79 on Wednesday.
MSU Billings lost twice at the CSU East Bay Tournament, 92-66 to Chico State and 64-50 to Cal State East Bay before sneaking past Black Hills State University 82-80
Olgala Lakota lost 132-71 against Dickinson State University

REWIND
U-Mary opened the season with three wins in six days, including a pair of victories at the GAC/NSIC Crossover in Dallas, Texas. Behind 17 points from Bryan Jefferson and a double double of 12 points and ten rebounds by Marquealis Edwards, the Marauders beat Henderson State 79-70. Isaac Lindquist added 15 and 9 and Tyler Brandon added 12... Game two of the Crossover was a barn burner. The Marauders edged Southern Arkansas University 77-76 on an Edwards layup woth three seconds left in the game. The senior ended the game with 15 points and six rebounds. Bryan Jefferson scored 21 points and pulled down 12 rebounds. Brandon Tyler had 14 points and four treys... After returning home, the Marauders visited South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and raced past the Hardrockers 96-79. Edwards had 22 points, seven rebounds and made 8-of-10 free throws. Tyler nailed four treys and scored 14 points. Isaac Lindquist registered 12 points and 11 rebounds. Jefferson had 10 points and Devan Douglas had eight points and eight rebounds.

FAST START
The Marauders three straight wins - all against NCAA Division II foes - is the program's longest streak to open a season since U-Mary won five straight at the start of the 2010-11 season. The Marauders went on to win 23 games that season and capture the school's lone NCAA tournament berth.

DOUBLE DOUBLE
In all three games this season the Marauders have had someone post a double double. Marquealis Edwards had 12 points and 10 rebounds against HSU. Bryan Jefferson followed with 21 and 12 against SAU. In the SDSMT win, Isaac Lindquish posted 12 points and 11 rebounds.

TURNOVER TURNDOWN
After posting 43 combined turnovers in the first two games, U-Mary reduced its giveaways to eight at South Dakota Mines.

Last season the Marauders scored 77 or more points seven times in 27 games. This year the Marauders have scored 77 or more points in all three games.
