The University of Mary Marauders

2013-14
Provided needed scoring for the Marauders in his first season at U-Mary… Mason averaged 10.3 points per game while shooting 39.5 per cent from the floor, 38.9 per cent beyond the arc and 72.2 per cent at the free throw line… He also hauled down 4.8 rebounds per game and posted a team-high 21 steals…  second on team in made free throws with 65 in 90 attempts… Led the Marauders charge down the stretch, posting double digit point totals in each of the final six games and averaged 19 points per game during that span... Posted a season-high 29 points in the regular season finale at MSU Moorhead, making a season-high five treys in eight chances and making 11-of-18 shots overall… Played primarily guard at the end of the season… Mason started 18 of 28 games… Led the Marauders in scoring seven times and rebounds five… Led team in steals five times… recorded his lone double double with 14 points and 10 rebounds against Emporia State… Cracked 20 points four times.

PRIOR TO U-MARY
A team captain at Phoenix College (Ariz.), Chris Mason averaged 17 points, seven rebounds and two assists per game as a sophomore in 2012-13. In addition to earning first team all region honors he was selected to the All-ACCAC second team. He scored a career-high 27 points against Pima (AZ) Community College on Dec. 8, 2012, and hauled down a career-best 13 rebounds against South Mountain Community College on Jan. 30, 2013.
 
In his lone season at Phoenix College, Mason led the Bears to a record of 21-14 and a trip to the NJCAA Division II national tournament in Danville, IL. He averaged 19 points and seven rebounds in the three games at the national tournament.
 
Mason spent his freshman year at NCAA Division II Western New Mexico University, where he averaged five points and three rebounds per game for the Mustangs in 23 contests in 2011-12.
 
A 2011 graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Phoenix, Mason averaged 18 points and eight rebounds per game as a senior. He was a three-time all-state selection and earned all-conference honors three times.
 
The son of Kelley Williams, Chris plans to major in Business at U-Mary.
