INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.—For the first time since joining the NCAA in 2006, the University of Mary tennis team has cracked the Central Region rankings. U-Mary, who is 10-1 in region competition and 10-3 against NCAA opponents, cracks the ranking at No. 9.
Coming in at No. 1, Augustana College is the only other Northern Sun team that is regionally ranked.

Concluding their regular season on Friday with a win over Mt. Mary College, the Marauders won their seventh straight match. Not losing since March 8 against Wayne State (Mich.), U-Mary has now set a program record (since 2006) with 12 wins.
Winners of their last eight conference matches, the Marauders have also set a program record with 10 NSIC wins. U-Mary hasn't lost a conference match since Feb. 15 against Augustana.
U-Mary will next compete in the Northern Sun Women's Tennis Tournament on April 26-27, which will be played at Lifetime Fitness Oakdale (Village Tennis) in Minnetonka, Minn. The Marauders have secured the No. 2 seed, in the postseason tournament and will take on the No. 7 seed, who is yet to be determined, at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 26.
The winner of the NSIC Women's Tennis Tournament will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Central Region Tournament. The NCAA DII Central Region Tournament will take place on campuses on May 3-6.
