Eamin Entwisle and
Tess Johnson both claimed two titles at the Cobber Open in Moorhead, MN, on Saturday, leading the University of Mary men's and women's indoor track and field efforts.
Entwisle, a junior from Hot Springs, SD, claimed the men's 3000 meter run in a time of 9:12.88. Led by Entwisle's time of 4:28.39 in the mile, the Marauders would record the top five finishes in the event.
Nathan Stamstad followed in second place at 4:34.06.
Deland Weyrauch won the 600 meter title in a time of 1:26.31, just in front of teammate
Jordan Davis by a scant difference of 0:00.37 seconds.
Taylor Thompson won the 5000 meter run with a time of 15:38.17.
Aaron Teigen would win the triple jump, leaping 43-4 ¼.
Tess Johnson piled up 3,276 points in the pentathlon to lead the U-Mary women's efforts at the Cobber Open while also running a leg on the winning 4x400 relay team.
Crystal Hovland and
Kayla Schuh placed 1-2 in the 600 meter run. Hovland posted a winning time of 1:41.18.
Jennifer Agnew claimed second in two different events, the mile (5:03.08) and the 3000 meter run (10:15.22).
Jessica Duenich was second in the 5000 meter run, coving the course in 19:48.65.
U-Mary placed first in the 4x400 meter relay. The team of Hovland, Schuh, Kemeya Johnson and
Tess Johnson posted a time of 4:12.40.
The Marauders next compete at the Iowa State Classic on February 9.
