The University of Mary Marauders

For the first time ever, the University of Mary hosted a collegiate swim meet Sunday, Oct. 23 and for the first time ever a Marauder swimmer won athlete of the week.
 
Kate Murphy won two events against MSU Moorhead this past weekend but the Marauders just short of the Dragons 149-110 at the BSC Aquatic & Fitness Center.
 
The freshman from Jefferson, MT, captured the 200 yard freestyle with a mark of 1:59.43 to win by over two seconds.
 
Murphy gave the Marauders back-to-back wins with a commanding win in the 500 yard freestyle. Her mark of 5:20.52 was 5.58 seconds ahead of the runner-up.  
 
Murphy and the Marauders host Augustana Friday, Oct. 26, at 5 p.m. back at the BSC Aquatic & Wellness Center.
