This week’s NDPF Male Athlete of the Week is Dave Small Jr. Small had a career performance in Saturday’s 23-13 win over Concordia – St. Paul when he rushed for 147 yards on 32 carries, and reaching the end zone for the final score of the day. Small has been a consistently reliable back all season for the Marauders and his touchdown Saturday marked nine touchdowns in all nine games this season. This is the longest streak for UMary in the Marauders NCAA era that started in 2006. On the season, Small has rushed for 705 yards on 158 carries, averaging 4.5 yards a carry, and 8 rushing touchdowns to lead the Marauders on the ground. The senior running back from Lauderhill, FL also has 15 receptions for 134 yards and one receiving touchdown.
