This week's NDPF Female Athlete of the Week is Megan Zander. Zander was an offensive leader in the Marauders two-game stay in Hilo, Hawai'i for the Malika Sports Thanksgiving Tournament. The Marauders suffered a 65-88 loss to a formidable University of Tampa team, ranked #14 in the country, on Thanksgiving Day. Zander put up a team-high 11 points, grabbed four rebounds, and helped UMary get a hot start against the high-powered Spartans. Zander and the Marauders ended the Hawai'i tournament on a high note, defeating the host University of Hawai'i at Hilo 72-44 on Saturday. Zander once again led the Marauders in scoring with 17 points, dished out five assists, and grabbed six rebounds and a steal. Zander was also nearly perfect from the free throw line making 8 of 9 shots. Zander is a senior guard from Mandan, ND and currently leads the Marauders in scoring with 13.7 points per game, 3.0 assists per game, and is second with 5.0 rebounds per game.
