The University of Mary Marauders

Rudy placed 1st in the 141-pound bracket at the 45th Annual Bison Open for the University of Mary Wrestling team. Rudy's top finish was the first for U-Mary since Jeremy Englehardt accomplished the feat in the 184-pound bracket back in 2001.

Rudy started off his day with a pin of Dimitri Grivas from Minot State at 4:17 into the bout, followed that up with a 4-2 decision over Wyatt Becker from North Dakota State in the second matchup, then pinned Thomas Walton from NDSU only 33 seconds into the semi-final match, and conquered top-seeded Kristian Vazquez from MSU-Moorhead with a 10-6 decision.
