This week's NDPF Male Athlete of the Week is Alex Flicek. One of the last original players of the program ended his career at a third straight trip to the ACHA M2 National Tournament Sunday in Marlborough, MA. In the first pool play game against Bentley, Flicek dished an assist to Andy Huber alongside Caleb Petrie, and later netted the final goal of Friday's 5-0 win on a one-timer from Isaiah Thomas. Flicek later added assists to Cyril Nagurski in Saturday's 3-1 win over Kentucky, and to Caleb Petrie in Sunday's 3-2 overtime loss to St. Thomas. Flicek's 4 total points was the team high for the Marauders on the week. Flicek, a Bismarck, ND native, will end his collegiate career as the Marauders all-time leader in points scored with 292 (137 goals, 155 assists).
