Brittney has been pacing the University of Mary Women's Basketball team through most of the regular season and was recognized this past week from the conference office after earning the NSIC North Division Player of the Week.
Dietz earned the award after leading U-Mary with 29.0 ppg on 50% shooting from the floor and 85.7% from the line. She tallied 33 against the Universit of Minnesota Crookston on 12-for-23 from the field, 6-for-6 from the line, and grabbed eight rebounds in the 85-79 loss. Her point total put her over 1,500 on her career, making her the seventh Marauder to accomplish the feat in U-Mary's history. She followed that up with 25 points against Bemidji State University on 9-for-19 from the floor, 6-for-8 from the line, and brought down seven more rebounds in a 71-66 win that snapped U-Mary's four-game losing streak.
For the year, Dietz is averaging 24.4 ppg in conference matchups, leading the Northern Sun, and is fourth in the nation with a mark of 22.7 ppg. She has recorded double digit points in every game on the year for the Marauders so far and has reached at least 20 points in 11 games, one more than her total as a junior.
