The University of Mary Marauders

In anther clean sweep, Alexis Zeis was named the Northern Sun Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week this week after winning the prestigious Roy Griak Invitational for the second straight year and leading the Marauders to a team title.
 
The NSIC honor comes a day after the Bismarck, ND, native was named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association national athlete of the week.
 
Zeis outpaced her closest competition by nearly 15 seconds. The reigning national champion conquered the 6,000 meter course in 22:10.2. This was her seventh straight win.
 
Her efforts helped the 4^th-ranked Marauders capture their second Griak championship. The program's only other win came in 2011. Mary nudged 9^th-ranked Minnesota Duluth by two points (93-95).
