This week's NDPF Female Athlete of the Week is Nehkyah Ellis. Ellis spearheaded a strong Marauders offensive attack that overpowered Minnesota Crookston and Bemidji State for a pair of 3-1 victories in the MAC this weekend. Ellis swung for 17 kills on a very impressive 0.452 hitting percentage Friday night against UM Crookston. She also contributed six digs, a pair of blocks, and an ace serve against the Golden Eagles. Ellis followed with another outstanding performance Saturday against Bemidji State when she once again led the team with 17 kills while hitting 0.349% in the attack. Ellis also added seven digs, an ace serve, and a block against the Beavers. The senior from Central Point, OR leads the team with 229 kills, which is just 10 shy of her personal season-best mark of 239 from 2021. Ellis is also second on the team with 270 digs and third with 20 ace serves.
