Chris tallied two major decisions and two falls through is 8-7 record at 157 pounds. Chris finished as runner-up at the Dakota Wesleyan Open and fourth at the Dragon Open.
 
2016-2017
As a true freshman Chris went 5-10, with 3 wins by fall. His season was cut short after a season ending injury. After recovering Chris came back strong with an impressive 3^rd place finish at the UWW Junior’s Greco-Roman world team trials at the 70 kg weight class. 
 
PRIOR TO UMARY
A four-year wrestling standout from Harvest, Ala., Christopher Leatherman joins the Marauders to supplement the middleweight classes after an illustrious career at Sparkman High School.
Compiling a 152-57 record in his four years as a varsity wrestler, Leatherman reached the 7A Alabama state tournament in three years and concluded his high school career as the 2016 7A state runner up at 160 pounds while finishing with a 42-6 record. Leatherman was a team captain for two years at Sparkman High School while leading his team with the most wins.
 The son of Julie Billig, Christopher will pursue a business administration degree as he attends the University of Mary.
