2021 (Senior)
Gerardo posted a 1-1 record on the year at 285 lbs.
 
2020 (Junior)
Gerardo “Lalo” started the year at 285 lbs and eventually dropped down to 197 lbs. His overall record was 9-13. He shared the Jimmie Open title with teammate Dom Tudor. He finished in 3rd place at the Dragon Open. He registered two major decisions and one pin on the year. Lalo also earned All-Academic NSIC honors for his effort in the classroom.

2019 (Sophomore)
Bumping up to HWT was seemed to be a good move for Gerardo aka Lalo, as he post 20-14 record featuring three pins and two major decisions. Gerardo placed 3^rd at the Jamestown Open, 1^st at the Dragon Open, and earned a spot at the NCAA DII National Championships by placing 3^rd at the NCAA Super Regional V HWT weight class. Gerardo was voted Most Improved and Rookie of the Year for his 2019 efforts and succeeded in his academics earning NWCA Academic All-American honors.

2018 (Freshman)
As a true freshman starting at 197 pounds, Gerardo scored a 5-11 record. Gerardo placed as runner-up at the Dragon Open, fourth at the Jimmie Open and fifth at the Cobber Open.
 
PRIOR TO UMARY
High School
Gerardo attended Steele Canyon high school in California. He placed first at both the CIF sectionals and the San Diego Masters Tournament as a senior in 2017. Gerardo also earned first team all-league honors and was the Grossmont League Wrestler of the Year as a senior, team most valuable wrestler and most inspirational wrestler and was a three-time team captain. Gerardo finished with a record of 43-9 as a senior.

Son of Maria Ramirez and Jose Jaime. Gerardo will study sports & leisure management at the University of Mary.
