Biography

2021 (Redshirt Senior)
Dominic put together another consistent season on the mat. He finished the year with a 5-2 record,
his two losses came at the Super Regional V Tournament. He earned Wrestler Reports “Wrestler of
the Week” for taking down 8th ranked Jordan Will of Minot State to secure the victory on the road
against the Beavers. He was a Super Regional V Semifinalist.
 
2020 (Redshirt Junior)
Dom concluded his season with a 23-10 record at 285 lbs. He shared the 285 lb title at the Jimmie Open with teammate Gerardo Jaime. Dom earned a 4th place finish at the Bison Open, as well as at the prestigious Midwest Classic. He earned a 6th place finish at the NCAA DII Super Regional V. He earned two UMary Wrestling End of the Season Awards; he was voted by his teammates to earn the Team Chemist Award and the Barn Cat Tough Award, respectively.

2019 (Redshirt)
During his redshirt season, HWT Dominic posted earned Team Captain honors and a 18-9 record highlighted by seven pins. Dominic placed 4th at the DWU Open, 3rd at the UNK Holiday Inn Open, and 2nd at the Dragon Open. Dominic was a huge component in getting teammate and fellow HWT Gerardo “Lalo” Jaime to the NCAA DII National Tournament. For his support as a teammate, he was recognized as the Male Inspirational Student-Athlete of the Year at the Marauders Night of Champions and Team Chemist at the UMary Wrestling Banquet.

2018 (Sophomore)
Dominic's second season at heavyweight in a Marauders singlet started off with a co-champ placing at the Jimmie Open with teammate Dominik Urena. Dominic also placed 3rd at the Dakota Wesleyan Open. With a 17-12 record, ten of his wins were earned in duals.
 
2017 (Freshman)
His true freshman campaign he compiled a 16-15 record with 2 wins by fall. He started his season by taking 2nd place at the Yellowjacket open hosted by RCTC, then the very next day competing in SDSU’s Daktronics open where he went 1-2. He proved to be valuable to the team as the team’s lone heavyweight and sealing a dual meet win against Central Missouri with a win over Chase Miller. With the team score on the line he earned a gutty win over #19 ranked Northern State’s Harrison Townsend in overtime. He finished his season at the Super Region 3 tournament where he went 1-2. As a true freshman and first year starter he shared the Rookie of the year award at the team’s annual banquet with teammate Hunter Eckert.
 
PRIOR TO UMARY
High School
A two-sport athlete from Peoria, Ill., Dominic Tudor joins the Marauder grapplers at the heavyweight class after competing in wrestling and football at Peoria Notre Dame High School. Tudor has started all four years for Peoria Notre Dame and finished with a 12-14 record as a freshman, a 25-9 record as a sophomore as he won the Regional Championship, and a 37-3 record as a junior as he won the Conference Championship and was a State Tournament Qualifier. A Freestyle All-American, Tudor is also a member of the Greco National Championship Team and placed eighth at the National Tournament, second at the Freestyle State Tournament, and second at the Greco State Tournament.
Tudor will provide some veteran leadership, as he was named team caption twice for Peoria Notre Dame
