2022 (Senior)
As a Senior Madisyn played and started in all 19 games for the Marauders. She totaled 1702 minutes on the pitch. Her Defensive role contributed to 9 shutouts, additionally receiving a shutout against Nationally ranked Emporia in a 2-0 win, with a goal allowed average of 0.64 and a save percentage of 0.87. Madisyn finished the season ranked 3
rd in the NSIC and 28
th in the Nation for Goal Against Average. She ranked 3
rd in the NSIC in saves earning her Second Team honors within the NSIC. Finally, Madisyn broke the shutout record previously hold by Kristen Werner with 25 Shutouts, and finishes her performance with 34 shutouts.
2021 (Junior)
As a Junior Madisyn played and started in 18 games for the Marauders. She totaled 1689 minutes on the pitch. Her defensive role contributed to 8 shutouts, which ties her for the most career shutouts in UMary Soccer History. She had a goal allowed average of 0.80, and a save percentage of 0.81. Madisyn finished the season ranked 3
rd in the NSIC with a goal against average. She ranked 8
th in the NSIC in saves earning her NSIC All-Second Team honors. Madisyn also earned NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence honors and was a team captain.
2021 SPRINGÂ (Junior)
Competed in 2 countable contests. Earned UMary's Female NISC Northern Sun Honor Student-Athlete of the Year, as well as NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence Honors.
2019 (Sophomore)
As a sophomore Madisyn played and started in 18 games for the Marauders. She totaled 1708 minutes on the pitch. Her defensive role contributed to 9 shut outs, a school record goals allowed average of 0.53, and a save percentage of .88. Madisyn is also played a key role in the Marauders finishing the season ranked 9
th in the Midwest region overall while also being ranked 11
th in the nation for goals against average. Madisyn led the NSIC and was ranked ninth in the nation with a 0.888 save percentage. She ranked 2
nd in the NSIC and 19
th nationally in goals against earning her second team honors within the NSIC. Madisyn also earned NSIC All-Academic honors.
2018 (Freshman)
As a freshman, Madisyn played in 18 games for the Marauders and started in all 18 games. She totaled 1689 minutes on the pitch. Her defensive role contributed to 8 shutouts, a 4.21 saves per game average, a 1.16 Goals Allowed Average, as well as a 10.5 shots per game average. Madisyn also played a key role in the NSIC quarterfinal shootout, saving two penalty kicks to send UMary past #4 Bemidji State University.
PRIOR TO UMARY
High School
Madisyn Waltman, a Sioux Falls, SD, native, plays goalkeeper for Dakota Alliance Soccer Club and her high school, Roosevelt High School. At her high school, Madisyn named to the Metro Athletic All-Conference team twice (2016, 2015). She was voted Roosevelt Girls Soccer MVP by her teammates in 2016 and 2015. She was also awarded the Rider Woman Award which is given to an athlete who represents leadership, responsibility, and integrity within the school and on the field. In addition to playing soccer for her high school, she also plays basketball and golf. Madisyn has been on the Academic Honor Role all four years of high school and she is also in the National Honor Society. She is a member of the school's Cancer Awareness Club, Serve and Learn Student Association (SALSA) and Harry Potter Club. Also, a student ambassador, a senior class officer, and works as a Rider Reading Buddy, Madisyn's favorite sports team is the Minnesota Vikings, and her favorite athlete is Carli Lloyd.Â

When asked why she chose the University of Mary, Madisyn said:Â "I really liked the student enrollment size and the growing campus, as well as the opportunity to play soccer for a great program. Bismarck is also a very similar community to my hometown, but I like that I will be able to explore somewhere new during my college experience."Â

Madisyn is the daughter of Ron and Pat Waltman and has two siblings, Zach and Jordan. Madisyn is studying Education.
