Biography

2021-22 (Sophomore)
Astley had a stellar sophomore season, he appeared in his first collegiate championship. Astley became the first UMary student-athlete to compete in an NCAA men's track & field championship event since 2019. He won the NSIC long jump with a length of 7.51 meters, just shy of the Marauders record. Also placed 6th in the triple jump and 14th in the 100. He took 18th place at the NCAA championships with a jump of 6.92 meters. 

2020-21 (Freshman)
Competing last year for the Marauders, Astley was able to qualify for both  Indoor and Outdoor Conference meets, and was able to achieve PR’s in the Long Jump and Triple Jump.

2019-2020 
Outdoor (Final Year class 1) 
In Astley’s season opening he was placed first at Jamaica College Ashenheim Stadium, Kingston after participating in the High jump competition where he jumped 1.95m, he then opened his triple jump season by jumping a mark of 15.19m at the National Stadium, Kingston Jamaia  where he was placed third . Astley also ran a 200m where he ran a time of 22.81, where he represented the Wolmers  Boys High school. 

2018-2019                  
Outdoor ( Second Year class 1) 
Astley’s second year  he was placed 6th at the issa boys/girls champs while competing in the Triple jump Men where he jumped 14.72m and gave Camperdown High school 5 points. 

2018-2019 
Outdoor ( First Year class 1) 
Astley’s first year he was placed 8th at the issa boys/girls champs while competing in the Triple jump Men where he jumped 13.98m and gave Camperdown High School 2 points.
