Bentzel was a member of the Marauder Cross Country squad that finished 4th place at the NSIC Championship.

Bentzel was a member of the Marauder Cross Country squad that finished 4th place at the NSIC Championship. Bentzel also ran the mile leg of the DMR squad that finished 5th place at the NSIC indoor championship. 2016-2017 Bentzel was a member of the NSIC and Central Region teams for the Marauders. Bentzel competed in the 3000m indoors with a PR of 9:05.49 and competed in the 3000m steeplechase outdoors with a PR of 10:06.65.
