Coming off an exciting cross country season earning 1st team All-Conference with an 11th place individual performance, All-Region honors with a 16th place individual finish, and 72nd individual finish at the NCAA Cross Country National Championship earning me All-Academic Honors for my high GPA and athletic performance. Needless to say, I had high spirits entering the Indoor track season.

Transitioning into outdoor track, I opened the season with a 4:47.70 – 1500m to place 3rd at the Tom Benich Invitational in Greely, CO. I increased my race distance throughout the season with a 10:21.84 – 3k and 18:00.19 – 5K leading up to the NSIC Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Wrapping up XC (Junior)
I wrapped up my junior year of cross-country by placing 8th at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships, 27th in the NCAA Central Region Championship and finished with a 7th place team title at the NCAA DII National Championships in Saint Leo, Florida. I received All-Conference and All-Academic honors for my high athletic and academic status throughout my season of competition.

Outdoor-Track (Junior)
After coming back from extensive illness that caused me to sit out for my indoor track season, I was very determined to start the season strong. I placed 1st in the Al Bortke Open with a time of 10:34.55 as a debut to my 2017 track season. I proceeded to improve throughout the season and solidified a 6th place finish in the Women’s 5,000m at the NSIC Conference Championships with a time of 18:15.62.  My effort and dedication to the program was recognized as I received All-Conference and All-Academic for my performance as well as a nomination for the University of Mary’s 2017 Comeback-Athlete of the Year.
