BURNSVILLE, MN – After an excellent two-meet stretch, University of Mary men's golf junior Dawson Melbo was named the Northern Sun's Golfer of the Week. He is the first Marauder in program history to receive the honor.

Melbo's career weekend started at the Upper Iowa Invite. The junior placed 3^rd at the meet and was just two strokes off the top of the leaderboard.

That career-best finish set him up for success on Monday at the Augustana Spring Invite. Melbo had 10 birdies across 36 holes to cruise to an individual championship, winning by four strokes. He had round scores of 71 (-1) and 70 (-2).

Melbo did all of this while representing the UMary B Team, leading them to a share of the team title at the Augustana Spring Invite.

Next up for the Marauders will be the NSIC Championship from April 17 to 19 at Paradise Point Golf Course in Smithville, MO.
