INDIANAPOLIS, IN – The University of Mary women's basketball team (23-10, 15-7 NSIC) is ranked eighth in the latest NCAA Division II Central Region rankings. The top eight teams will make the NCAA Central Regional tournament on March 13, 14 & 16.
Automatic bids are granted to the winners of the NSIC, GAC and MIAA postseason tournaments, with the remaining five spots being awarded on an at-large basis. Concordia-St. Paul punched their ticket via an automatic bid when they won NSIC Tournament.
The Marauders ended the conference tournament with 23 wins, the most wins in the NCAA era.
UMary will wait to see if they make the tournament when the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Selection Show takes place on Sunday, March 8, at 9:30 pm. The show will be streamed live on NCAA.com.
