BURNSVILLE, MN – After earning First-Team All-Conference honors last season, Allison Undlin has been named Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference's North Division Preseason Player of the Year for the upcoming 2026-27 season.

Last year, Undlin averaged 15.8 points and 8.3 rebounds per game in her first season as a starter. The Mohall, ND, native ranked second in the conference in field goal percentage (61.1%) and blocks (61), fourth in rebounding, and 12^th in scoring.

Undlin scored double digits in 22 straight games to end the regular season. She earned NSIC Player of the Week honors twice last year.

"Allison essentially came out of nowhere last season to earn First-Team All-NSIC recognition.  She worked extremely hard the last two seasons coming off multiple ACL surgeries and very little actual game action," said head coach Rick Neumann.

"As a staff, we knew she had a chance to be a very good player, but I'd be lying if I said I knew she'd have the season she had.  She is a complete offensive player, able to finish around the rim while being a must guard at the three-point line.  Her versatility really allows our offense to be dynamic."

The NSIC Preseason Coaches' Poll projected the Marauders to finish 4th in the conference this season and first in the NSIC North. Last season, UMary finished fourth in the NSIC during the regular season and second in the NSIC North. The Marauders were knocked out in the semifinals of the 2025 NSIC tournament after defeating Southwest Minnesota State University 82-78 in the quarterfinals.

"Our team welcomes eight new players to a returning core that experienced a top four finish and a semifinal appearance in the NSIC Tournament. The depth we have, especially on the perimeter, is something we intend to lean heavily on. The league should be as wide open as it ever has been, and we are confident when the dust settles, we will once again be in contention for a great postseason run," Neumann said.

The Marauders have ten players returning from last year's team. UMary has four seniors Undlin, Chloe Pfau, Emily Jaenke, and Anna Lenzen, two juniors Eden Fridley and Brenna Dick, and four sophomores Chloe Nuss, Tory Jennissen, Grace Richardson, and Chloe Netzinger.

UMary brings in six freshmen and two sophomore transfers for this season. Teagon Konold, Chloe Carlson, Aubrey Kenner, Megan Dietz, Abby Fosland, and Sophie Emerson will aim to have an immediate impact to begin their collegiate career. Haidyn Crockett transfers from the University of Jamestown, where she started in 26 games and averaged 9.5 ppg and 2.7 rpg. Dani Coleman comes to UMary from the University of Sioux Falls, where she appeared in nine games and scored 18 points on 57.1% shooting from the field.
