ORLANDO, FL – The University of Mary tennis team (1-4, 1-3 NSIC) prepares their Spring Break matches in Florida, competing in five contests over six days. The Marauders open against Eckerd College on Thursday, February 26, at 2 pm in St. Petersburg, FL.
UMary then heads to Orlando, FL, to take on Bethune-Cookman University on Saturday, February 28, at 11 am. The Marauders compete against Capital University on Sunday, March 1, at 2:30 pm. UMary challenges Trine University on Monday, March 2, at 11 am. The Marauders wrap up their trip against Cedarville University on Tuesday, March 3, at 5 pm.
LAST TIME OUT
UMary earned their first win of the season, defeating St. Cloud State University 4-3. The Marauders then fell 4-3 in a hard-fought matchup against Minnesota State University Moorhead.
With the score tied at 3-3 against the Huskies, all eyes were on
Brooke Mulholland in #6 singles. The freshman from Brainerd, MN, defeated Hannah Oing 6-3, 6-0 to win the match and the dual.

SUEFLOHN NAMED NSIC PLAYER TO WATCH
Sophomore
Anna Sueflohn was named the NSIC Tennis Player to Watch for the Marauders. The Delafield, WI, native earned Second Team All-NSIC doubles honors last year. Sueflohn is the only returner from the 2025 team.
MARAUDERS PROJECTED TO FINISH FOURTH
The 2026 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll has projected the University of Mary tennis team to finish fourth in the NSIC for the 2026 season.
Last season, the Marauders finished fourth in the NSIC, going 6-10 overall and 5-4 in conference action. UMary fell in the quarterfinals to Minnesota State University Moorhead.

PORTER ENTERS SECOND YEAR IN CHARGE
Head coach
Erik Porter enters his second year at the helm of the UMary tennis program. Porter previously served as the Marauders assistant coach from 2022-2024. He has earned multiple all-conference honors as a tennis player and has been an instructor since 2015.
