SARTELL, MN – The University of Mary tennis team (0-3, 0-2 NSIC) heads to Sartell, MN, to compete in two conference games at the Sta-Fit Tennis Center. The Marauders open against St. Cloud State University on Friday, February 20, at 3:30 pm. UMary then competes against Minnesota State University Moorhead on Saturday, February 21, at 4:30 pm.
LAST TIME OUT
UMary fell in their first two conference games last week. The Marauders lost 7-0 to Augustana University and 6-1 to the University of Sioux Falls.

Josie Sueflohn is 1-2 in #3 singles and 1-2 in #1 doubles.

OPPO RESEARCH - SCSU
St. Cloud State University is 1-3 overall and 1-1 in the Northern Sun. The Huskies were projected to finish 10
th in the NSIC standings. SCSU fell 5-2 to Bemidji State and defeated the University of Minnesota Duluth 5-2.
OPPO RESEARCH – MSUM
Minnesota State University Moorhead is 1-4 overall and 0-2 in the NSIC. The Dragons were projected to take 9
th in the conference standings. MSUM was defeated 6-1 by Minnesota State and 5-2 by Winona State.
SUEFLOHN NAMED NSIC PLAYER TO WATCH
Sophomore
Anna Sueflohn was named the NSIC Tennis Player to Watch for the Marauders. The Delafield, WI, native earned Second Team All-NSIC doubles honors last year. Sueflohn is the only returner from the 2025 team.
MARAUDERS PROJECTED TO FINISH FOURTH
The 2026 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll has projected the University of Mary tennis team to finish fourth in the NSIC for the 2026 season.
Last season, the Marauders finished fourth in the NSIC, going 6-10 overall and 5-4 in conference action. UMary fell in the quarterfinals to Minnesota State University Moorhead.

PORTER ENTERS SECOND YEAR IN CHARGE
Head coach
Erik Porter enters his second year at the helm of the UMary tennis program. Porter previously served as the Marauders assistant coach from 2022-2024. He has earned multiple all-conference honors as a tennis player and has been an instructor since 2015.
