GRAND FORKS, ND – University of Mary men's track and field earned two individual victories and broke two school records over the two-day UND Open in Grand Forks, ND.

Kenny Moxey Jr. had an outstanding weekend. The sophomore won the Heptathlon with a 5,079 score, a school record. The previous school record of 4,945 had stood since 2017 and was held by Sven Dunkel.
Moxey Jr. won the 60m Hurdles, the Long Jump, and the Shot Put as part of the Heptathlon. He set personal records in the High Jump (1.94m) and the 1000m (3:04.60). The total score of 5,079 currently ranks 6
th in the nation.
The other school record that fell was in the Mile, as
Gideon Hammah broke his own school record. The sophomore placed 8
th in the race at 4:08.95, besting his previous record of 4:12.93 by nearly four seconds. Of the seven athletes that placed above Hammah, six were Division I runners.
Sean Erickson set the school record in the Indoor Discus with a 50.82m, a new entry in the UMary record book.
Jack Koppelsloen earned his second consecutive victory in the 600m with a time of 1:23.00.

The Marauders head to Fargo next weekend for the two-day Bison Open hosted by North Dakota State University. The meet will take place Feb. 6 and 7.
