BURNSVILLE, MN – The 2026 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll has projected the University of Mary tennis team to finish fourth in the NSIC for the 2026 season.
Sophomore
Anna Sueflohn has been named the NSIC Tennis Player to Watch for the Marauders. The Delafield, WI, native earned Second Team All-NSIC doubles honors last year. Sueflohn is the only returner from the 2025 team.
"Anna is entering her sophomore campaign as Mary's lone returning all-conference selection. She brings leadership, poise, and maturity to our team and plays with a fierce quiet competitiveness on the court. She's a great example of what it means to be a scholar-athlete at the University of Mary", said UMary head coach Eric Porter.
Last season, the Marauders finished fourth in the NSIC, going 6-10 overall and 5-4 in conference action. UMary fell in the quarterfinals to Minnesota State University Moorhead.
The Marauders see six newcomers join the team.
Abbigail Athey, Natalia Jorge Magarzo,
Elizabete Lekse,
Brooke Mulholland,
Maja Panganiban, and
Josie Sueflohn will look to make an immediate impact in their debut seasons.
"The Marauders have a lot of new faces heading into the 2026 season, including five freshmen. This young group hasn't let their inexperience stop them from competing with intensity, building strong team connections, and developing their games, however. I'm excited to see how they fare in the NSIC this year while we strive to build a solid foundation for our program for years to come," said Porter.
The Marauders open the 2026 season at home against Gustavus Adolphus College on Saturday, February 7, at 10:30 am in the Mandan Tennis Center.
